What is Arts Integration?

• Definition: Arts Integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. In this method:

• Learners engage in a creative process that links an art form (e.g. drama, music, dance, visual art) with another subject (e.g. math, science, social studies, ELA).

• Both the content area and the arts have evolving, measurable objectives that are taught and assessed in parallel.
